[comics] The Arts of Eddie Campbell, Comicker … A kickstarter for an art book from Eddie Campbell. ‘Read how Eddie wanted to be a painter at age 14. Later his family moved to the south of England when he was 15. Then he went to the London Central School of Art and Design. He failed to get into a diploma course, probably mainly because of his love for comic-book and strip art. Art schools were never fond of comics! Quote: ‘When young folk ask me how to get into comics I always tell them you have to be mad enough to think you’re already in them.”
