I prefer using http://www.Darkoogle.com since they uses black background to save energy and at the same time they uses green texts which is more easier for our eyes and reduce eye strain.

It’s been discussed time and time again, a black search portal offers very little in the way of power saving overall. All this site does is generate revenue for it’s owners which is put to no good use at all.

As an alternative search portal try –

http://www.regrowgle.com

Any profits from using this portal are actually put back into environmental projects to cancel out a portion of energy etc that is consumed.

Hey it’s a start, and every little bit counts in my opinion

Funny : some experts are claiming that using a black background will use MORE energy than a white one.

The best ‘Colored Search Site’: Greenle

Pinkle is cool too !

I had heard of blackle.com (the eco friendly version of google), but now they have launched http://www.blacklegames.com .lol, Interesting concept: play games and save the world

I’m using at the moment BLACKOOGLE, which is similar to blackle but offers a lot more functionality like image search, youtube search, mail access, etc. And looks nicer too, give it a try!

There are around 16 different versions of “black google” online. The best one I’ve found is http://www.cleanblack.com. Cleanblack is the only version that allows you to change the text colors of the google search results. Try it yourself by going to http://www.cleanblack.com/theme/
