Methinks Mr Niven has been watching Kevin Smith’s ‘Clerks’ – there’s an entire scene devoted to Superman and Lois Lane’s sex life, including some ideas about Kryptonian condoms….

The write of Larry Niven was done on 1978, so i doubt Kevin Smith was writing the script of Mallrats with an age of only 8 years :)
